Artist in Residence Programme

At Gaelscoil Chaladh an Treoigh, we seek to provide a broad range of exposure to Art, Craft and imaginative development. To this end, we have engaged with the Artisit in Residence Programme provided by Limerick County Council.

The objective has been to:

Introduce and expose pupils to a wider variety of Art/Craft/Design skills through demonstration and practical lessons;

Introduce techniques which will encourage the creative thought and activities of our pupils;

Produce group pieces of work, using the skills and techniques that they have learned;

Development of pupils' organisational and presentation skills, each group having to present and demonstrate the results of their work.

This programme covered Textiles and Bronze Age craft .... It has been a huge success
