Focus on Science

Science Fest
In our recent focus on science, pupils learned about:
Biology—organs and bones of the body;
Chemistry-acids & bases, plastics & polymers and simple chemical reactions;
Physics—effects of electric current and densities of objects.

In addition, lecturers from UL visited us to star trek with Rang III & IV and to run experiments with Rang I and II

Many thanks to the 'super-scientists' (parents) who visited our school to share their expertise in these fields.

Mad Science
As part of our Irish week festival we also ran our Mad Science biology and chemistry workshop in Rang III, 'as Gaeilge'

Something Fishy
Visitors from the Irish Fisheries Board shared with our pupils the rich marine life in Ireland and their role in fishery protection and managemetn of Irish waterways.
